Wiota Firemen’s Park Playground Ribbon Cutting & Community Appreciation Event

Phase 1 of the new playground project at Wiota Firemen’s Park is officially complete, and we’re excited to invite the community to celebrate with us at a special Playground Appreciation & Ribbon Cutting event!

Join us on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Wiota Park as we officially open the new playground and recognize everyone who helped make this project possible. This project would not have happened without the incredible support from community members, volunteers, donors, local businesses, and everyone who contributed their time and effort along the way.

This event is meant to be a fun afternoon for families and a chance to celebrate what our community can accomplish together.

Event Highlights

• Official Playground Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

• Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chips, Drinks & Ice Cream

• All food and refreshments available for a free will donation

We will also have tickets available for our 2- 1/4 Beef Drawings, with the drawing being held the day after the Wiota Firemen’s Chicken BBQ, October 11th . A huge thank you to Riley Bros. Angus for donating the beef for this fundraiser.

While Phase 1 of the playground project is complete, fundraising efforts will continue for future playground additions and improvements. Events like this help us continue building a great space for kids and families in our community for years to come.

We hope to see everyone there as we celebrate this exciting milestone together!
